Altamar is situated on the unspoilt south east coast
of the island of Barbados, close to Sam Lord's Castle.
Altamar is in the rural parish of St Philip, just
a 15 minute drive from the airport and 40 minutes from the capital
of Barbados - Bridgetown.
There is a substantial shopping area around 10 minutes
by car, including a large supermarket (that stays open until 10pm
most days), pharmacy and petrol station.
Besides having a small beach just a few steps away
a number of large, popular beaches are also close by.
