However, the south east coast of the island is ideal if you prefer
more seclusion. The cool Atlantic breezes waft through the villa
day and night, making air conditioning unnecessary. Surfing is
enjoyed on this coast, but one does have to be careful not to
get sunburnt, as the cooling breezes do encourage you to enjoy
the beaches for a longer time!
The villa is away from the hustle and bustle of the west coast
but a visit to the other side to take in skiing or snorkeling
is only half an hour's drive away - the south coast is even closer.
We recommend a drive around the island along the coast, which
can be done in a day and will allow you to appreciate the great
variation in the landscape, beaches,
and surf around the island.
